God's Extravagant Grace
The Silvermoon restoration project has been a tremendously expensive project that—out of love for Texarkana and against rational business sense—has turned what were dead, decaying, dangerous, collapsing buildings into centers of community life and fellowship. In a very small way, it's a picture of God's extravagant grace toward us. God invested a vital part of Himself (i.e., His Son, Jesus Christ, of infinite worth)—out of love and against what we would see as rational—to turn us, dead, decaying, dangerous, collapsing humans into fountains of life and fellowship with Him and with others. See Romans 5:6–8.
